Free Floating BDL wood stock

Been thinking about free floating my 300RUM Remington BDL. Watched MidwayUSA videos on free floating, pillar and glass bedding. To me how he free floated the barrel and using the barrel bedding tool, is a relatively easy process. I could be wrong and please inform me if I am. Also what size of tool would i need for a BDL stock? Thanks!

The 1/2" barrel bedding tool should do the job.

I just get a dowell rod as close to the bbl thickness as possible and wrap sand paper around it . At first med then fine, when I can put a dollar bill folded between the stock and the bbl all the way to the action I rub a paste wax into the sanded area to keep moisture out.
