Franchi Renaissance Sporting

Has anyone had any experience shooting trap with a Franchi Renaissance Sporting model 12 ga or know anything about it. I would like to get a new O&U and this gun caught my eye.

These are very nice looking guns, but the sporting model may shoot a little flat for trap, unless it has the adjustable comb. Also i would be a little concerned about the barrel trunnions. You should probably check to see if they are replaceable like they are on the beretta's. I've seen some of the lower priced over unders shoot loose after a couple thousand rounds. Imo i would suggest starting with a browning or beretta even if you had to by a used one.

I was reading yesterday that the metal in the chamber area is a little thin compared to the Beretta and Browings. No personal experience though. I have been kicking double barrel "tires" myself.
