For any one who has "bedded" their seating stem...

I took a look again. Using a sharpie I blackened the bullet and twisted it in the stem. I had a nice clean wide mark where the bullet touches the stem. In retrospect, the issue was probably with my .22 Creedmoor. I shot both at the same time last week and probably got them confused.

After looking at the .22 stem with a loupe I could see that the angle was not very shallow and wasn't contacting the 77 grain Sierra TMK very much. I chucked it in the lathe and made the angle much more shallow and polished it with Flitz with a bullet in the tailstock chuck. Using the sharpie again I have a lot of contact now.

If my problem isn't fixed now it's gonna get bedded.
