For ALL but emphasis on ‘LE’ LRH members 😕

I'm so sorry for your loss and for our nation that loses another LE officer to a senseless assassination.
How many recruits are we losing due to the celebration of groups that just hate law and order and "to serve and protect".
It feels like we are coming into the movie, Red Dawn, where all our norms are tossed and there are no LE's left to stop it. It's just us and them.
If we had no police for just a month, I shudder to think what would happen to us.
Stay safe deputy. We can't afford to lose you and your profession across this troubled land.

News article says Deputy Shirley was working in Uniform, but in an Unmarked unit and was possibly targeted. Can you provide any further info on that ?
LMPD and JCSO believes he was 'targeted'. He was in uniform and working off-duty providing security for a car lot, but in his personal vehicle.

Its time folks to start speaking up and be heard. Bombard our reps that any attempt to defund the police will be their "defunding" at next election. Bombard Facebook and all the other Socialist platforms that "We the People" are now in the game and will not ALLOW this to continue.

My brother in law was a Chief for combined 3 townships and I heard first hand even in these small towns the growing lack of respect for not only LE but others as well. He had passed but hear him clearly when this sick incident reinforces his words.

The only chance we have is to be heard. Speak up and attend "hometown" rep meetings. Get in their face, make them uncomfortable and dare them to defund the police. It will nit be tolerated.

Yes, I am ANGRY over another senseless MURDER of a LEO. I, for one, will be hammering my reps via email, voice, meetings and so on. I will not go away.

Prayers for this fallen member of LE and his family as well. May God grant them peace is this very difficult time and show them the way forward.

Deputy819 and all LEO here, please watch your and each others backs. I pray God keeps you safe every day and brings you home after every shift.

God Bless

Good lord this country is in a mess for sure. Deputy819 I'm so sorry for the loss of your colleague . It's a crying shame . I hope and pray that when they catch the murderer that he or she gets what's coming . But then it'll be all over the news and then it'll be another bunch of b/s . It doesn't matter white ,black, yellow ,orange ,pink or what catch that sucker and make them pay .
I have several good friends that are cops on all three local levels and it scares the crap out of me for their safety when this kinda stuff happens.
We all need to respect the law and those who represent it! Be safe out there

I'm new to the forum, just joined, this is my second post only. I'm not in the US, woke up this morning grabbed the laptop to see if I'd had any replies and saw this post. I was shocked and saddened to read it, coming from Australia its almost incompressible, what a senseless loss of life. While we share some many similarities sometimes the differences between our countries is sometimes stark. I was lucky enough to be in North Carolina and Alabama Feb 2020, hunting (and doing a photography residency in Wilson NC), driving with a friend I asked why were all the bridges named after (I think it was) State Troopers, he said they are ones that had died in line of duty!!! I could not drive over a bridge without thinking of that. LE, in fact all first responders really put it out there for all of us - I thought the piece of writing about the wolf, the dog and sheep put it so eloquently. They really do go out there with a target on their back, more literally in America I suspect, I don't not the USA rates of death from attack, in Australia it is small (68 deaths since 1948), that said ANY attack on police, medics, fire etc. is abhorrent. Such a dreadful and senseless loss of life, please be & stay safe. I hope to wake up to read stories of hunting, boasting of trophy sizes and arguments about calibers.

Take care

Bronek

So sorry to hear this news today, brother.

Prayers for the immediate family, and our overall family in blue.

On a side note, in reference to what some have asked here regarding the ever dwindling numbers, I can say this. I spent the day out at our academy teaching (not my regular assignment, but get to go out from time to time) and in a class of recruits that already started with less than we had hoped for (down multiple candidates before the academy even started), I found out today that we have already lost 4 of the recruits that started only a month and a half ago due to their disgust and discouragement of what a life in law enforcement will look like nowadays.

Almost impossible to fill seats these days for a future in uniform.

I drive down one of our main drags in Denver (Colfax Ave) and regularly see billboards offering up to a $15,000 signing bonus for lateral recruits from our metro area that are willing to move to the northwestern states. "Oddly" enough, these billboards are being posted by departments such as the Spokane PD and others that simply cannot find ANYONE willing to be the police in their local communities.

Sorry to derail the thread. Praying for peace for you, and all others, bro.

We can never accept the murder of innocent people and especially those who are swore to serve. It will take a 180 degree turnaround in this country to stop the carnage.

1. Super-fund the POLICE and every other law enforcement agency that puts their officers in harms way to protect us.
2. Full court press to find, arrest and incarcerate criminals at every level
3. Put DAs in place that actually respect the rule of law and who will fight to keep violent criminals off the street.

In NYC a perp was apprehended for stabbing an innocent person on the streets of the city. The guy had 90, yes 90, prior arrests. Is it really hard to see the problem?

Thoughts and Prayers to Deputy Shirley, his family and friends.

Yes....this is a terrible part of our future...but as stated some of these people get out faster than they get put away...'BUT IT ALL COMES DOWN TO BLIND JUSTICE' once again...if the leadership caught lying and stealing and murdering are the elected officials....how do you hold this person in jail......
Every cop takes an oath to protect and serve as do bureaucrats....when that oath is broken....where does that leave the guys that haven't broken that trust....its unfortunate but true....they become targets because of someone else.....its time to drain the swamp past and present....its time to empty the prisons of long term incarceration.....death row..needs to start heads rolling.....
I know several guys from high school that went onto the service and returned to be cops in the neighborhood.....wouldnt go good for the known perp to step out on the street.....theres lots of trees..bridges with shallow water..big brush piles........
I hate having a kid in the world right now....how do you protect them....

Death row should be an autobaun! And in the cases where there is NO shadow of doubt when the perps are actually caught, maybe cuffs shouldn't even be an option. Just end it on the spot. Case closed! But that's why I couldn't be a cop.

There is a Law Enforcement motivational video on YouTube that I really want to post, but due to a few *choice words* said I will refrain. It's the Al Pacino 'Any Given Sunday' motivational speech overshadowed by LE duty footage. Please check it out…….and pray for us. 😐
You know you have my prayers buddy!

On the verge of tears posting this one, folks. Had a young deputy Sheriff ambushed….shot and killed this morning in my hometown of Louisville, Ky…..about 30 minutes west of where I currently live and serve as a deputy Sheriff. He was working 'off-duty' providing security for a car lot when an as yet unidentified gunman approached his cruiser and open fired. He was targeted!!
TO ALL MY 'LE' BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON HERE…..I BEG YOU…PLEASE BE VIGILANT, ALERT AND CONSTANTLY AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIMES….WE ARE TARGETS!!! 😡

Matthew 5:9
This is sad to hear. Such a broken place we live in. The Lord says "vengeance is mine, I will repay", so in the end it will be the evil-doers who will have to pay. As a pastor, the comfort that I can offer is beyond my mortal condolences, as important as that can be... the real comfort lies in a sovereign and just Heavenly Father Who is perfect in goodness and offers an eternal reward to all who live in faith and faithfulness. So let's all live faithful to His cause, beyond ourselves, and for the common good of those who's lives we touch, and we will have eternity to enjoy the rewards. I pray this public servant's life will not have been in vain, and that it will stir others to appreciate the extremely brief opportunity that life gives to each of us individually to make a mark for the good.

God be with you, Deputy819, in this tragic and, I'm sure, very personal senseless loss of life. I have incredible respect and appreciation for the courage and selfless sacrifice represented in your service. I'll be praying for you and your "brothers". Let not the darkness of this terrific evil creep into our own hearts where anger and pain turns into lingering resentment and bitterness. Give it to God. He can handle this. God bless you.
