Flattest Shooting Hunting Bullet 257 Weatherby Vanguard 26" pipe

Want to extend the range as much as possible, what will be the flattest shooting bullet combo for hunting in the Bee out to 700 yards. Was playing with the range finder and that would be max. Thinking Antelope or deer sized game.

I am running 110 grain Accubonds at 3510 and that might get you there. 600 for sure. That's from an Ultra Lightweight with 26".

I am running the nosler 115 out of a 28" and it's fantastic on game. I've only got to 623 yards on a pig but he dropped when he was hit. Several at around 400 also went right down.

RL22 lit with 215s and seated out. No pressure signs at all and this load runs .8 MOA over 10 shots consistently out to 450. I have only shot deer with this load and they have all been between 325 and 387 yards so not sure how they do close up or far out, but in the middle ranges they are very impressive.

Looks like the hammer at higher speeds is much flatter than my 115gr load.

I would think 110 Accubond or 115 Berger's would be solid choices at those ranges. I'm shooting a 257AI though

Bergers... not fan for a hunting bullet, played with several in .308, they perform out there so to speak but up close, not to sure. Scared at what the 115 vld would do at a 100 yard shot. I like what the 115 grain ballistic tips do out of my 25-06 but at the 257BEE velocities??

I am using the 110 ELDX at 3574. It carries the need velocity and kinetic energy to kill deer sized game out to 750yds. It also shoots very flat sighted in at 300yd zero. I wanted to try the 115 Berger but lost way too much speed. The powder I used is N570.

The best bullet you can run in your 10 twist 257wby is the 110 Bibbs. They have a .520 bc and kill like lightning. Give Randy Robinette a call and see if he can hook you up.

Back before the internets and sturdier B-Tips I shot alot of deer with the .257B and 100 grain B-Tips. They killed like nothing I have seen since out to 400 yards, but the bruising was amazing. they would leave a layer of plum jello around the entrance the diameter of a basketball. It would often just lock their legs up and tip em over like a wood horse. Several of those would still have exits as well. Then Barnes made the TSX and dumped the XLCs and b-tips went by the wayside. The Bergers are better than the b-tips in that you don't get the on-side bruising, but there are instances where you can end up with some pretty chewed up off side. My longest deer with the .257 was with a 100 grain TSX started close to 3700. At just under 500 yards the bullet punched both shoulders with a tennis ball sized exit. He pushed his face through the snow for 15 feet and was done. I shoot Accubonds and TSXs out of the 257 and 270 Weatherbys and love them both. Real speed beats BC to 500 IMHO.
