I know it is commonly accepted as fact that flat bottom stocks shoot more accurately than round bottom stocks.
Since I already know of another accepted fact that has been proven untrue, can anybody tell me if there has been any testing, or experience that would be reliable, that proves flat bottoms are more accurate.
I would guess that the truth could be that flat bottoms are more accurate under certain circumstances, like when they are riding in a match legal front rest.
But I am guessing.I don't have much real personal evidence either way.

On a rest, the flatbottoms cant be beat because of shot-to-shot CONSISTANCY--you just cant come close with a round forend--the flat ones CANT twist, and the round ones CANT sit the same every time--now off a bipod its another story,--beavertail all the way.
