Me and my wife just got back from hunting with High Plains Hunts in Texas. Had a great time! Weather sucked full moon and no wind first 2 nights! Made it very hard to put a stalk on the pigs without getting detected. We managed to put 12 down. Should have had a lot more but first time using thermo scopes we sucked. Can't say enough about the operation. Jeremy has it dialed in. The last day it rained all day couldn't get in the fields so we canceled the last night. And down another rabbit hole we go! Will have 2 thermo scopes under the Christmas tree!

If you don't want to acquire another hobby DO NOT look through a thermal.
Especially a good thermal. Whether you shoot anything or not just the ability to see in total darkness
with zero light is amazing! Crazy technology for sure.

Come back more often, we need help in putting a check on these critters.

Congratulations on your hunt and newfound Christmas fantasy! We would like to get a scope or two, but there's something stopping us….$! 😉 memtb

Thermal hunting is next on my list - we have plenty of coyotes on our family ranch in WY and thermal seems like an even more fun way of hunting them.

I've been doing a lot of research and have looked through a few of them - spendy but I'm sure I'd forget the sticker shock on the first successful hunt.

Looking at a used Thermion XQ 38 and a Trijicon ML11 ir hunter 35mm. Would be using them for coyotes in Wisconsin. We don't have a lot of distance where we could hunt 3-4 hundred yards would be a long shot. Probably closer to 1-200 yards. And would only get to go once in a while. Any reason not to get them? Problems with used or because of cold weather? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
