I have my eyes on a used Savage 112 (Stainless) in .300 win mag. I am seriously considering buying it, taking the crappy synthetic stock off, and replacing it with a nice new stock. But before I do (I hardly ever THINK before I spend; my wife would be so proud!).........
Can anyone recommend a good stock for this, and also let me know how much I am looking at spending for this?
Also, can anyone give advice as to how to check to make sure the barrel hasn't been shot-out?
I would really appreciate any advice/ feedback. I would love to start building my first long-range rig!
