I was holding on a deer this season with a sporter weight rifle at 250 yards, watching the cross hairs dance all over... thinking, I've got no business taking that shot.

400+ yards long range to me!

That 6.5/284 Norma is a screamer and shoots so flat. Maybe just the supersonic shock wave alone could kill that deer on a near miss. )

I shoot 6.5 Creedmoor, a much tamer but still flat shooting cartridge.
