Ogive at the mouth will limit the case capacity and is deeper than I'd want to be, realistically those wouldn't be the choice style bullets for that application. A lot of guys will make a reamer to your dummy round or you could ha e the smith just throat it to your dummy round. I've had great luck with custom throats in a few different rifles. Those Bergers will want to be around .015 from the lands (touching to a .030 jump). The nosler s will want a bigger jump (usually .070-.110). They may be your better choice of the two so you don't ha e to throat it so short. If you haven't already ordered too many components a 7-08ai would be comparable to 284 ballistics and be a lot easier to stuff in the short action. Might save you some headaches anyway, other than fire forming brass.
