I've put together two new rifles earlier this year, both Savage LH, one mdl 11 and a mdl 10. The mdl 11 has a 24" Shilen Select SS Match chambered in 22-250, 1-12 twist. It's going to be my carry around coyote/groundhog rifle.

The 22-250 shot very well so I bought the LH mdl 10 action. It too got a 24" Shilen Select SS Match, only in 260 Remington, 1-9 twist for lighter bullets. I put 6 rounds through it at 200 yards the other day while shooting another rifle. Today I shot it at 100, the loads were for a mdl 16 I have with a 24" Shaw 1-8 twist barrel.

Shots #12, 13 and 14, 35.9gr of IMR 4060, Sierra Pro Hunters, 120gr.

Nice, both great calibers!

The pair. I'll get some camo wrap on them next week. The 36X weaver is off and a Leupold 4.5-14 is mounted and ready to zero when I get some rounds loaded.

I've done some more load development in the last week. When I started messing with a 260 about 1 years ago it seemed everyone was shooting H4350. I tried it but it never performed well in any of the three barrels that were on my mdl16, in all honesty no powder performed well.

After shooting the mdl10 with the Shilen and seeing it showed promise shooting IMR4064 I decided to load up some H4350. I picked a load on the low end and was the results.

100 yards with a Leupold 4.5-14 B&C reticle.

Nice
We been shooting 260s for years. SGK 140 on top of H4350 shoots 1/4" - Great hunting combo. For Target SMK 142 on top of H4350 42.6 @ 2825fps shoot bug holes.
