Finally! H1000

I have two .300 win mags I feed H1000. I scored an 8lb jug yesterday from Midsouth shooter supply.

I've had six 300WM's that loved it. I had one Bergara recently that did not. Kinda strange.
Hummmm. Bergara? B-14? Or the HMR-PRO? Or? Have the HMR-PRO that I've been working with the H-1000 and the Hornaday 208 . So far 74.5 gr have shown promising!

H1000 initial loadings. Not looking great so far.
H1000
WIN case
WLRM
212 HDY ELD-X
3.475 COAL.

Try the same loads with just a large rifle primer. Also, how was your pressure signs at 77 grains, was there room to keep going? And how far from the lands were these seated at?

I had a batch of 50 brass primed with WLRM before I saw the advise of using WLR primer, so next batch maybe.

Pressure signs at 77 was sticky bolt syndrome, so I at least found the limit.

The distance to lands at 3.475 COAL is .120".
I have a batch of 5 set at 75.7gr seated 3.490". I just discovered that length will feed from mag also, but not a hair longer or they nose dive front of mag.

I'm about to abandon the project as I've discovered if a gun likes a powder and bullet combo it usually results in MOA groups and a few tweaks here or there gets them ragged hole. Like my 200 Accubonds with RL23. 10 shot group MOA.

With that said. I've got batch of 5 Accubonds sitting on 77gr H1000 for a shot in the dark. Hopefully try this weekend.

Well the remaining 160ct of 212 ELDX got sold off. 140rnds in struggling load development burnt me out of that bullet. 200 AB with 77 H1000 showed great promise out the gate. 2975fps! One had sticky bolt. Will try 76.7 for 1/2" groups.

I shoot the 185 burger juggernaut I know this is a different bullet than what you were trying but I have had great results with 74.5 grains of h 1000 and CCI 250 primers give them a try
