I was out scouting for elk yesterday and spotted several bulls a long ways off. I do not have a spotting scope, only 15x56's.
The bulls were approx 1.6 miles away and I could see antlers, just not to well. The elk were feeding and heads mostly down. Two of them looked bigger than the rest but all I could make out was about 3-4 feet of antler length with a good fork at the end, I could not make out any points, brow tines, etc.
Anyone know if these bulls might be worth going after? I am not looking for a monster, anything 250-300 range would be fine for me. Does anyone have any pics of bulls at that range that I could compare these to?
