I loaded 200 grain Federal TLR bullets for my elk hunt this year.
I would like to say that this bullet performed way outside my expectations.
I had a quartering away downhill shot. Bullet entered behind the last rib and traveled thru the length of the elk and was found in the opposite shoulder just under the skin. It destroyed the liver and heart. Also did damage to the lungs.
Bullet recovered weighed out at 162.4 grains
.
I hope this helps someone make a decision on this bullet.

Nice, but.....what caliber and what was mv and estimated impact velocity?

Oh.....congratulations on your kill! memtb

Custom .300 weatherby. 3025 fps at the muzzle. 187 yard shot.
I will check range card for my at 200 and get back to you.

I just picked up a box of these for my .300 win mag... I was astounded at how slow their published load data is utilizing H1000. I am by no means a speed guy, but 2600 fps is pretty slow for a 200 grain bullet. I usually aim for around 2800 fps for my 200 grain bullets, looks like that may be unattainable with H1000. Maybe I will pick up some Reloder 26.
