Fast twist 270win or 30 0 06?

Looking to rebarrel my favorite hunting rig...good ol model70 270....looking at fast spin 06 vs 270....FYI I shoot supressed...and subsonics in 06 is a possibility....in the long range game it's a tough call...any suggestions? Please chime in.

That depends on the bullets you are going to use, i.e., Matrix 165/175, Berger 170, etc.

I would look at heavy pills... but still mabe able to shoot factory 150s too

"If" you want to shoot the bullets as noted in #2, you would need a faster than 1:9" twist for an optimized SG. I have a 30" Lilja 1:8" 3G on my .270 AI specifically designed to propel the 165/175 Matrix. The current accuracy load is 2993 FPS for the 175 with H4831SC.
