Hi, could you recommend some rifles (on the budget) to start in F-Class at 900 yards?

Thanks

By the way, could be used a Remington 700 milspec 5r or a Tikka t3 ctr or super varmint for this prupose? ( can they be compared with the savage?)

I would highly recommend the Savage option. They are purpose built for FTR and will be competitive there until your skills are on par with others and justify a custom build.

You can have fun in Open with any rifle, but you will have a harder time being competitive there without a custom rifle.

Again, any rifle meeting the rules CAN work, but will not be optimal. For example you must single feed so repeaters won't do anything positive or you, and stocks not meant to ride the bags will be suboptimal. You're talking 22-25 shots in a rapid pace with non cooling so the heaviest barrels help.

That said the two F-class matches I shot were with my 243AI hunting rifle and the limiting factor wasn't the rifle.

What he said. I shoot a fair amount of F Class and use different rifles for different purposes. FTR I use a Savage LRPV in 223 with a 1:7 twist throated to handle 90 grain Bergers. F Open, I started with a Savage Model 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor. Now shooting a accurized Remington 700 with an F Class stock in .284. If you start with one of the Savage F Class rifles it will allow you start building your equipment (front rest/bipod, rear bag, shooting mat) and focusing on your shooting and will take you a long way until you start thinking about a custom rifle build. If you ever do. They are accurate enough to win major competitions.
