Elk Teeth

OK. This is way out of bounds but, I figured this might be the place to ask. I am in the process of making a turquoise necklace that will contain some elk teeth amongst the turquoise. Would I just use a regular drill bit to make a hole in the teeth?? The turquoise stones were bought already drilled. I asked them about drilling a hole in the teeth and they said they didn't do that.

Get a dremil and drill your own. They make pretty small bits.

In the past I have used a Dremel and a drill bit from a Dentist. He gave me a used drill but it worked great on Red deer teeth.

Dremel with some diamond bits or Tungsten Carbide Burr. Don't use the conventual drill bits(spiral).
Very inexpensive at Amazon or Harbor Freight.
Also are you going to mix a few Claws in with the necklace?

It's not a real difficult process. A sharp bit will be a benefit.
