Economical/cheap gear that turned out to work just fine.

Cabela's has had some really good house brand gear. Some of it was just ok. They used to have some awesome sales in the bargain cave. I bought $329 hunting jacket for $39. It was great. I hardly do any business at all with them or bass pro now.

Underarmour Bozeman boots. I got a lot of guff when I bought them from the guys I know. I took them on a bison hunt and archery deer. They are way comfortable, while they aren't water proof I walked through a stream or two and didn't get wet socks. I bought them on amazon for $60 bucks. My foot size is a bit unusual so shoes are either expensive or cheap. Cheap when they try to clear them expensive when they aren't. Pretty happy with that purchase. I will add Savage rifles have always been a win for me.
