So. I'd been trying to get this buck to come out during legal hours (not beyond 1/2 past sunset but he's smart. He'd always wait a time longer.

So in my frustration I had 1 last idea 💡. DST. If I wait till Sunday that deer who's still on moon phase and regular time won't know I'll have bought myself enough daylight savings time to get that em.

well I sat in my blind all day, wanting, waiting, watching..nothing. Apparently DST doesn't matter. WAIT…who's this guy.

head shot 110gr Barnes TTSX @ 3335fps from my 270win. Enter RT exit LT deflection down and shattered the LT knee. As you can see on the SPYPOINT timestamp (1656hrs) I was 6 minutes from sunset.

Conclusion..DST works right?

Wildlife may not notice time change but I do. Day light saving time ends a few days before our rifle season. It effects the time I need get up, get ready, drive to my hunting area and be where I want to be 45 minutes before legal shooting time. Going to bed earlier doesn't work for me and I can't take naps so I lose sleep. I'll keep at it; although I wish day light saving time would become standard. Nice to have an hour or so in early season to hunt before dark.
