Does changing scope focus change POI?

i notices on my vx3i that the scope focus lock thing was loose so either the nut moved or the fine focus adjust moved. Will this change my POI? I'm about to go out on my last day of hunting and have no chance to shoot the rifle to verify. Thanks!

It doesnt matter. POI won't change. The eye piece is a way of looking at the image and reticle, it doesnt change the relationship between tbem.

That's probably the worlds clumsiest explanation; but all you have to remember is that it doesnt matter.

Are you talking about side focus or diopter adjustment? They won't change poi but it is possible to increase parallax by adjusting either in a sfp scope. Increasing parallax can create a change in poi...
