My question is pertaining to 6mm,but does the answer hold true for all calibers and using faster twist barrels than what has been the norm in previous years? Barrels twist rates have recently been getting faster due to the new high b.c. bullets such as the sierra 22cal. 95 grain that calls for a 1-6 twist and also their 6.5mm 150grain that a 1-7.5 twist is recommended,as well as the new sierra 30cal 230grain that sierra recommends 1-8 twist for. At distances over 500yrds or so,should more aerodynamic jump be accounted for, in the direction the twist of the barrel is ,when using faster barrel twists than those usually used? Such as the 6mm CM using a 1-7 twist instead of a 1-8 twist.
Does a 7twist in 6mm produce considerable more drift than an 8twist Barrel ?
