Do you use G1 or G7

Does it matter which one you use for your ballistic program? If it doesn't is one better than the other?

I don't shoot past 500. Either one works fine. Past that, many say G-7 is closer. I wouldn't know.

G7 is a closer match to the shape of bullets we use for long range shooting. For example a Berger VLD with a long, slender front end and a boat tail back end.

I try to use G7 whenever possible or applicable. But as @GLTaylor stated, it doesn't make much difference till longer distances.
