I have been loading for my 25-06 and and I cant load to book max OAL. I dont have the numbers in front of me but I measured from tip and Ogive on Partitions and Ballistic tips and am under. I've never seen this in any other gun. Is this normal for Tikkas? Using Imr 4350 at 50.2 gr and I feel as though it is compressed due to the bullet seated so far into the case.. I am using the Hornady LNL With modifed caseand bullet comperator also. Cant even close the bolt when loaded to book OAL.

I have never had a problem with any Tikkas. But you never know it may need to be returned for warranty.

Now looking at your numbers and mine looks like you are about .050 +/- short...that is weird. I measured my buddies and its right in there with mine too...stupid question but have you looked in there to be sure its clean? maybe there is a build up and your bullet it hitting it making it feel like lands??? thats really weird. if not I would probably send it back to Beretta...

Just an update.. I made a dummy round that fits to the end of my mag with a 100 gr partition and took it to my gunsmith. He chambered it for this round and all is good, The best part is he only charged me $40. dollars to do it. Now finally load developement time. Will post pics soon..

You will love it. The Tikka rifles really shoot.

Weird that your chamber was so short. Did you talk to Beretta about warranty? My Tikka 22-250, my Dad's Tikka 6.5x55, and my brother's Tikka 300 wsm all have a long throat and the lands can't be reached when seated to mag length except Dad's 6.5. It has a real long magazine to match.

All of our rifles are serious shooters. My 22-250 barrel has alot of rounds thru it though and it's nearing it's end. It'll get a new custom barrel in 22-250 again.

    Good luck.

I called beretta and they had me call a company in california for warranty work. The company I called said they were back logged and it would be a while to have it looked at. Plus shipping charges, so I called my gunsmith and had him take care of it. Wasnt to impressed with Berreta's customer service but what can ya do.. My smith confirmed it was a very short cut chamber job for some reason.
