So many years ago we transferred from upstate NY to MI. We were invited to a backyard bonfire with 5-6 other couples partly as welcome to neighborhood. Talk turned to what is different for us and shopping was big deal. We talked about groceries, prices and never heard of Meijer before. But we said we had Dick's Sporting Goods back east. Then my wife said "the Dick's here are not as big as the ones back east. " Of course she was talking store size but Holy Cow!

I snorted beer out my nose and it got real quiet around fire and then it was pure bedlam! My wife wanted to leave but I said don't worry we are now "accepted"!
