I live in Dequeen. The local 4h shooting range has been saying for the last 2 years they are going to add a long range shooting range but it will only be around 700 yds if they ever do it . For now its only 100 yds . There are some large fields around that allow for long shots and high lines. Most everything is weyerhaeuser leases . Some of the best hunting is in pond creek wma lots of 160-180 class deer in there but its bow or muzzleloader only with a 2 day modern gun hunt but they only have a certain amount of permits .

I just want to be able to use my setup for hunting deer.

You will be fine. My rifle is similar with a carbon barrel and a kahles k525i scope. But, i also have a lite rifle for hunting in heavy cover. I almost never use it anymore, but it is a great excuse to mama for another toy!!!
