Ok my Son in law is getting parts for a light weight 300 wsm ..
He picked up a Defiance anti X action today.
He want no bottom metal so blind box if I'm correct. The sold him the spring Fowler and box metal.
My question is what or where to get the trigger guard from .
I'm just trying to help him out .
Thanks in advance!

It should be the same footprint as the Remington 700, maybe Williams, PT&G or Hawkins make an ADL style trigger guard?

The action will have only the front and rear action screw. He will have to either use a nut and washer for the front trigger guard screw or drill and tap the stock in the front screw location and use a short modified screw. I have a McMillan ADL McSwirly stock that I used the nut and washer method and a Remington 600 steel ADL trigger guard to complete the look.

He just needs to be sure that what ever stock he orders has the correct inlet for the trigger guard he intends to use. He may need to discuss it before with the stock maker and make sure they fully understand his intended use.

The XM is a hybrid, intermediate action, so it doesn't fit the short or long action footprint perfectly. But that doesn't matter with your son's intentions.

Sounds like he talked to both Defiance and Ag .
Thank you for all the help !
We both learned a few things on this build.
