What is an "Ultra" under the long actions? Haven't seen that one before and am curious since I like the RUMs

The "Ultra" denotes the wider feed rails in the action. There are two widths available in the Long Action: Standard, which fits the 300 Win Mags, 7mm Mags, etc..., and the Ultra Mag width, which fits the RUMs and Noslers, etc...

If you try to feed a RUM or Nosler through a standard width rail, it will not be able to pass through from the mag box to the receiver, as it will be too fat. The Ultra feed rails are wider and will allow them to pass through.

If you are using 300WM with a detachable mag, or Wyatts center feed box, you can use the Ultra action, since the magazine will control the round instead of the feed lips.

For those of you who haven't seen it, Defiance has taken a price increase on their actions effective today. It looks to be about 12.7% across the board. This is the first price increase Defiance has taken since they started business in 2009. Given the issues small businesses face today, it is certainly understandable. As of today, Pucker Factor still has approximately 90 Defiance actions on the shelf. These actions will stay at the old pricing. When we start getting our new shipments with the updated prices, that will have to change. In addition, they have stopped taking customer orders directly. As such, if you are looking to order a Defiance action, we would be happy to take your order and assist in any other way we can.
