Defiance 3 position safety

Anyone have a defiance with 3 position safety?

Any problems?

Does it feel the exact same as a model 70?

Any reason not to get?

And on a similar topic, what would stop a guy from having a gunsmith install one of these on the perfectly good Defiance action sitting in his safe? Anyone done it?

I've used the Gentry version. I will say from some experiences it takes a better than average smith to get it right.

I have two rifles with that safety, they both work ok. I have them because it locks the bolt so they don't open. They are left handed rifles if that makes a difference.
