Defensive Edge puts on an excellent class, great food and camp! Shooting in a realistic environment across canyons etc.
The weather was a little challenging the weekend that I took the class but it was still a good time and I learned a lot about wind reading etc!

That's great to know. However, I just want to learn something more related to shooting sports and all. As I am a noob in this shooting and all. I am just here to learn all these for my kid. He is very interested in taking classes on shooting, just like trap and skeet. I heard related to these sport but was never aware of what all these exactly are. Then I tried to read some blogs related to Shooting and its types.

Well, can you please suggest anything related to enroll my kid into shooting classes? He is now 13 years old. Is it safe for him to get into the sport? Thanks for any input :)

I would highly recommend Hunters Safety Coarse for starters, even if he doesn't hunt it would be beneficial and probably required if he does hunt.
As far as trap and skeet, first thing I would do is find a local range. They may offer instruction? May even have youth leagues.

Jammy… Suggest you look at the Virginia department of wildlife resources website… you'll find info on Hunter safety courses there. In you contact them then can probably direct you to other resources in the area… local ranges and gun stores might be able to point you to other resources as well

My dad wasn't a shooter but he took my brothers and I to a competition and that got us started. He also had a buddy at work that helped me out.

Good luck
