I've settled on what to take to CO for Elk, the 300WM launching 215s, and the 280AI launching 175 EH.
For the TX deer size, I've taken them down with AR15 suppressed SPR launching 77 TMKs. Now, I have the urge to shoot Hammers in the suppressed M1A that I spun the barrel from an Obermeyer blank or in 20 inch suppressed AR10 that I salvaged good a 20 inches from my spare Krieger Palma barrel. The M1a has 11.25 twist, the Kriger 13T.
I bought some 137 HH from a member here and today I saw the discussion about 143 Lever Hunters that I immediately put two boxes of 100 in the shopping cart.
For all you Hummer offionados, which would you vote to run in a 308 in either of the two platforms? I have great high pressure loads for punching paper with both launching 168 Hybrids and 185 Jugs. I am quite familiar with finding the highest velocity in a 308 with great precision. I have no problem pushing the velocity envelope on these two Hummers.
