I use “red mineral lick” made by Grandpas Special Mix. You a look them up online. He has spent decades perfecting his minerals and feed and I can honestly say it’s the best I’ve ever used FOR THE WILDLIFE. It’s not salt. It’s actually minerals. And the deer kill it. In MO, something like that block is baiting - but only during hunting seasons.

It’s mainly for promoting healthy deer and maximize antler growth. I don’t know anyone who hunts over it. And it’s not a block. It’s a crushed mineral mix that you pour onto the ground or an old rotten stump.
