Data needed

If I use a 120gr bullet with a BC of .520 at a muzzle velocity of 3500 at what distance would I zero my rifle to have a max of plus or minus 4 inches? And what would be my max range - 4 inches low? How high would I have to be at 100 yards? Elevation is 8500 and average temp is 40F.

I am asking for this data for my carry rifle, 7mm mag, that I will be using for elk this fall in CO.

I hope to have the bullets in 2 or 3 weeks.

Also, if anybody could list the same data for the following I would appreciate it.
265gr bullet used in a 375 H&H AI with a BC of .580 at 3000 FPS at the muzzle. Elevation is 1000 and average temp is 60 degrees.

Thanks for the data,

Don

Shakey

Send me your Email, I can't get on it from here.

With the 7mm Mag--- If you Sight in at 2.29" high at 100 yards at 200 yards you will be 3.97" high at 300 yards you will be 2.25" high and at 350 yards you will be dead on . "At 400 yards you will be 3.22" low. All figures above are if you do not click and instead hold right on.

With the 375 H&H--If you sight in 2.81" at 100 yards, you will be 3.81" high at 200 yards, dead on at 300 yards and 9" low at 400 yards.

This is with all figures you gave on the post.

I'm trying to keep your arc within the 4" max to the target you mentioned.

Darryl,

Thanks for the data.

Sure sounds like the 7mm mag is a 400 yard carry rifle with that GS Custom HV bullet.

The 375 H&H AI is flatter then I thought it would be as well.

Thanks again,

Don
