Custom Turret vs Redicles

Whats your thoughts? I am about to order a new barrel/caliber for my Blaser R8 and thinking of optics. I have a Lupold VX-R scope that has the option for custom turrets on one rifle (which Seems very convenient), But I know a lot of people are using redicles like MOA and MRAD.
What do people like for hunting?

Using the reticle is much more useable with FFP scopes in my opinion. Dialing works well with SFP. Chose which one works best for you.

The custom turret is for one set of parameters. Bullet weight, ballistic coefficients, altitude, velocity and others I am forgetting....
By dialing or using subtensions you can record that and move on to other bullets, other parameters in the first paragraph.
In other words, more versatility.
