I've got a Savage LA right hand stock that is heavily modified , it was a Savage target stock with the adjustable cheak piece and forend rail , it is set up to full expose the barrel and has been coated with bed liner. The barels are both Savage factory units , one is a SS fluted chambered in 22-250 , it was cut back to 24" and has a Vias break on it , shoots under 1/2", has about 800-1000 rounds through it. Second barrel is chambered for 300WSM , the barrel was a 308 that consistantly shot in the 3/8" range , after about 2500 rounds I sent it to Kevin Rayhill and he rechambered to 300WSM , she barrel had about 1/4" cut from the chamber end before rechambering , that and the added length of the 300 made for a as new throat. The barrel is 24" 1-10 twist , will shoot 190gr Berger VLD bullets under 1/2" at 2800 with the very limited laod development I've done for it , it has less than 100rounds since rechamber. Shoot me an E-mail if intrested jdjones75@aol I do have some pics I can scan and E-mail.
