This is a full custom gun built from the action up by Master Riflesmith Brad Stair (apprenticed with the legendary Jackson) at Cross Canyon Arms in West Haven, Utah. It is a great shooter as the targets in the photos show. It has less than 500 rounds through it in 4 years, rarely shot - that's the main reason for selling it. I measured the distance to lands as soon as I got it and the other day – there is not even 0.001″ of throat erosion.

(If it says customer supplied, those are the parts I paid for in addition to the $2000 labor/gunsmith shop costs in this gun)

Action: Remington 700 Long Action stainless steel, trued – $550 customer supplied

Bolt: Custom oversize bolt and tactical bolt handle – only the internals of the original Rem 700 bolt are in this gun; Sako extractor installed – extra $300 for custom oversize bolt – bolt slides like greased lightning, totally dreamlike

Barrel: 32″ PacNor SS, heavy barrel with deep flutes, muzzle brake; 1:8.5 twist for heavy long range bullets, match chamber, shoots a 208 AMAX at 3215 with a moderate load, a long range LASER with massive knockdown power.

Stock: McMillan A5 – $750 customer supplied

Bottom Metal: Seekins Precision 338 detachable bottom metal COAL 3.90 allows detachable mag feeding of long range bullets; customer supplied $500 for bottom metal and one 3 round and one 5 round mag. Functions flawlessly with this DBM. It is rare to have a 300 RUM with DBM which allows for quick follow up shots and quick reloading.

Finish: Teflon, black

Trigger: Jewell set at 12 oz – Customer supplied $220

Labor total over $2000. I have the receipts from all the work at CCA and for the individual parts with all the original packaging and receipts, and stuff like spacers for McMillan stock. If you wanted to build this rifle you would have over $4000 invested.

Photos can be seen on local ad posting or I can email lots of them:

utahgunexchange.com/ads/custom-rem-700-300-rum-32%E2%80%B3-bbl-cross-canyon-arms-mcmillan-a5-tack-driver

$2249+ shipping. If you don't want the Jewell trigger, I'll remove it and you can install the trigger of your choice. $2000 without trigger.

This is an absolute steal for a gun of this quality. For shipping out of Utah, I will ask you to pay me for the actual cost of shipping which will be about 50$ because of the length of this thing (about 53" overall length). From private individual (me) to your FFL.

My contact information for direct contact, which I prefer to emailing through LRH, is availble in the local ad linked above.

I will weigh when I get home and post back

I will throw in 3 RCBS dies (FL, Neck and seating) 2 shell holders (#38 RCBS) and 50 pieces of once fired and annealed and polished Nosler brass also to sweeten the deal a bit more.

Gun is 53-3/8" long and weighs 12.20 pounds

The gun is 53-3/8" long and weighs 12.20# with no base, optics, etc and no magazine. It has one (1) one-half inch butt spacers in the stock right now so it could be made 1/2" shorter I think and there is another 1/2" spacer and two (2) one-quarter inch spacers that could be inserted for longer LOP.

The McMillan A5 stock as you probably know has a fully adjustable cheekpiece section too.

This is a really good weight for this rifle especially considering McMillan stock and 32" heavy barrel. The flutes they did on the barrel are deep and removed a good deal or weight.

Standard 300 rum or Brad's improved version?

Haha, you must be local to Utah -

It is a standard 300 RUM, NOT the Tejas with 50 degree "proprietary" shoulder. I don't like to fireform brass.

The 300 RUM is already over the top enough that going Tejas doesn't make much sense (to me).

I measure the Nosler brass, which I have offered above to accompany the rifle, as right at 115.0 grains H2O capacity.

Brad Stair is an Awesome riflesmith, if you know anybody who wants a great gun built by a reputable Smith, let them know about this. Even if a person rebarreled it in a long action whatever, this is a great deal on parts alone.

PRICE LOWERED to rock bottom - rifle with Jewell trigger, dies, brass for $1999 plus shipping.

Where in Utah are you located? I am interested and could maybe just meet you face to face
