Hey folks! Kind of sad to let this one go, but I rarely shoot it anymore (once this year and only a couple times last year) and I need to move it for another custom SML build. This thing is WICKED ACCURATE! Shoots the Berger 90gr Target BT consistently into 1/4 moa at 200 yards. Shot the 87gr Berger VLD just as good, but I no longer have those targets.
So, here we go….Stainless Remington S/A fully blueprinted (RR prefix purchased in 2017) with a Sako extractor installed. Blueprinting includes threads being re-cut, action face squared, bolt face squared and lugs lapped. Action wears a Murphy Stainless Steel 0 moa rail (bedded) and has a Jewell Trigger (HVRTSBR) currently set @ 6 oz. Holland .250 recoil lug (pinned) and the barrel is a stainless 24" Douglas 'Premium XX Air Gauged" 6-groove,1 in 9 twist barrel, minimum spec chamber. 1.20" shank for 4.5" and straight taper to 1.0" at the muzzle with an 11 degree crown…..yeah, it's heavy. Stock is HS Precision and has been very nicely skim-bedded with Devcon 10110. Stock has a Kydex cheek rest and also has a pic rail installed for bi-pod use.
Scope is a Sightron SIII (MOA-2 reticle) w/ Vortex bubble level (older bronze letter edition scope) 30mm 8-32x56 bedded into Warne 514M 30mm steel rings.
Also up for grabs is the Redding Type 'S' die set (Full length sizer, Competition Seating Die and type 'S' neck die) I bought for it as well as the 21st Century expander mandrel.
I've got 99 pieces of 3 X fired Lapua brass (I lost one in the yard somewhere a while back) and it's all been annealed after each firing (salt bath). 49 "ready to load", 49 "dirty" and one made into a modified case.
Rifle with scope weighs 13.8 lbs (bathroom scale) and the rifle has approximately 300-400 rounds on it which includes 'break in' with some "cheap stuff". Plenty of life left in this "big 'ole girl".
So, here's the rub…I need $1,750 for the bare rifle and I'll include the unused factory trigger as well. If you want the rifle/scope package I need $2,250. I will not separate unless the rifle sells first without the scope.
Scope w/rings and level needs $600 if forced to sell separately.
Redding die set 36114 with expander mandrel included needs $150.00. Neck die 71114 needs $50.00. I will not sell the die sets separately unless buyer of rifle doesn't want them.
If you want the rifle, scope AND the dies I need $2,450 and I'll GIVE YOU the brass and 360 Berger Target BT's for FREE. Shipping from my FFL to your FFL is ON ME (continental US only).
