Many of you know, I have been selling copies of Michael Petrov's Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century Volume II since his passing in February, 2014.
If you ever thought about buying a copy, an extra copy, a copy for your friend, neighbor or even your friend's neighbor now is the time to act while I still have access to the books.
My family and I are 99% certain that we will be relocating from Alaska back to the "lower 48" this summer. I have approx. two months before everything I own is in a box. I expect that someone may pick this up when I leave, but I don't know who this may be or when this will happen. Getting copies of Michael's books may be more difficult.
Published in 2013 … this book is a compilation of articles from the pages of Shooting Magazine and newly written chapters … authored by the widely recognized custom rifle historian Michael Petrov.
There is not a lot of literature on the custom rifles of the first half of the 20th century. They are few and far between. Michael Petrov had tirelesslyresearched the custom makers for many years, gathering historical information while there was still access to a steadily decreasing number of people who actually knew, spoke with or corresponded with these old time craftsmen.
A few of the gunmakers is these pages include … R. G. (Bob) Owen, Barney Worthen, A. O. Niedner, Ludwig Wundhammer, Seymour Griffin, John Dubiel, Paul Jaeger and many more.
This hardcover book measures 6" x 9" and has 167 pages.
