Custom action "best choice"

If your worried about crap getting in the action and locking it up just get a Mauser 98.
If you want a custom action and the accuracy that goes with it you are just going to have to take a little more care of it.
For a custom hunting rifle I really like the borden alpine and timberline actions.

I have a BAT HRPIC that I'm selling right now just because it doesn't quite fit my plans for the gun. I am going for a lighter rifle and don't need the PIC rail on it. I'll say, it is hard as hell to let it go because it is a beautiful piece of work. It is incredibly smooth and everything about it makes me want to use it for a build. I'm going with a borden that is a few ounces lighter. The Timberline I had was also an incredibly smooth action, and the gun shot great so I'm sticking with that for my next build.
