I have a Remington 700 BDL in 300 Win Mag that has a shot-out barrel. I ordered a new barrel and am considering having it chambered in 300 RUM. Going to use it for hunting and some LR shooting. Other than mag length, are there any other things I need to consider? I reload and have all the components for the RUM.

Just want to make sure the bolt face, action length, .... won't be an issue.

Thanks for your help!

Check these out >>> http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f17/rechamber-300-win-mag-300-rum-55854/ and http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f37/300-win-mag-300-ultra-mag-29245/

Use the custom search on the top right hand corner (it's a very useful tool; take advantage of it) .... I'm sure there's more info.

Good luck!
