Some Rugers you can throw a round into the chamber and just close the bolt. The extractor snaps over the rim no problem. Some you.need to wiggle and jiggle. All my m77 mk2 Rugers in 338 , 8 of them would just click over the rim. My wife's 308 will click over the rim. My 6.5 Creedmoor sometimes does and sometimes does not. If you.have a belted chamber barrel on your rifle its easy to find out if your extractor will or won't.
