This is my first post on here hopefully everyone is welcoming to a beginner.

I have a Remington 700 long range in 7mm that i had a low end scope on for while, figured i was not getting the most out of that gun with that scope. I went ahead and bought a vortex viper 6-24x50 with adjustable elevation and windage turrets. Instantly started getting almost hole for hole at 100 and out to 300 a little wider with hand loads. but once i got it zeroed in at 200 yards i was unsure what to do with my turrets. Looked on-line and remembered to take the 3 screws off holding my turrets on and put it to zero, but i don't have much more room to go up.
I have incredibly low leupold bases on and the only way i can think to get so i have more elevation is to go with taller mounts possibly on a rail. If any one can help please do im at a loss and dont want to tear my gun apart to fix this more than i have to.
I never intended to build much of a long range gun but now i got trigger, scope, muzzle break, bi-pod in to this gun and am hooked.

I'm not certain I understand your problem...Are you able to zero your scope at 100 yards and then when you try to adjust the vertical elevation for 200 yards (that would be about +1 MOA more) you can't get there because the turret has run out of adjustment? If so you need a +40 MOA base. ps verify your current base (or bases) are mounted in the correct position with the thicker end to the rear of the scope. (the scope should be sloping slightly downward toward the muzzle). On the other hand, if your problem is you are able to zero the scope at 100yards, and adjust the turrets to hit at all the yardages you are interested in out to 1000 yards, but you are unable to re-zero the scope at 200 yards. You're done. There is no need to zero your scope at 200 yards. Just create a dope card that indicates what MOA to rotate your turrets to at various ranges out to 1000 yards...then rotate the turret back to 0.0 when shooting at 100 yards
