I used a Gunfighters Inc Kenai chest holster under my Alaska Guide Creations bino harness for my Glock 29. Not sure my new XDM will hide under the bino harness as well at the G29 did. It was practical for hunting and also worked good if I was hiking with the family. Both pictures show side view pretty well and somebody would have to be looking close to see it. I jogged with it under a jacket fairly often during winter as well. Pretty handy still having it on during skinning/quartering with pack and bino harness off and out of the way too.

Good outfit and good on you for getting the little dude out there! We need a lot more of this, get the little dudes out there as opposed to on there screens!

Smart. The Kenai chest holster exceeded my expectations.

@megastink,

That would depend on what your carrying & how you intend to use it.

After having a close run in with a 400 pounder the other year, i've changed my carry pistol and bullet type.
Had to discharge 1 round as a discouragement.
It worked, but i was feeling WAY undergunned with my Walther PPS in 9mm with only 7 rounds. 6 after the discharge.

I now carry a Walther PPQ in 45ACP shooting 185gr LSWC.
And open carry instead of concealed now.

Be aware, the rules for claiming self defense in an animal situation are different than the Castle Doctrine for your house!

A black bear climbing up your tree is not justified for self defense.

Another plus for Hill People Gear. Their Recon and Heavy Recon kit bags have webbing on the front, and they also sell binocular pouches that can mount on the front. I've been using their kit bag and various backpacks from them for years. It's all first rate.
