Complete Reloading Newby, Advice for 7mm loads

I mentioned the partial FL sizing because most beginner handloaders use a two die set with a FL and seater die. The idea is not to over size the brass. Size the brass enough to fit slightly snug or so bolt closes without resistance, your choice. Either method when done properly will help the brass last longer with less stretch.

Nothing wrong with a neck sizing die IF you have quality brass. If the necks have varying wall thickness then you will produce different neck tensions. Inconsistent neck tension hurts accuracy potential. If you are not interested in skim turning the necks to produce same neck wall thicknesses, then use a slightly small bushing and a sizer ball. That will reduce the necks far less than what a FL die does, then the sizer ball will give you a consistent inside diameter yielding a more consistent neck tension.

Borrow your friends reloading manuals cross reference them , read read read , best fl die instructions come free with redding dies read re read Q? Sierra bullets has a 1/800 hotline to answer questions , glad you found a reloading friend, Question any and all his short cuts on reloading if he has any , die set ups die cleaning , don't ever reload being tired, give it 110% only after reading 150% , remember you'll get out of it what you put into it , lol no different then life , Be Safe n enjoy your journey !!!
