Hello from Tennessee!
I am cutting and pasting from my profile:
(LAZY)
I am a retired 5th Special Forces Group Green Beret Warrant Officer who spent 26 years in "The Legion" (5th SFG nickname) all in 2/5 with 28 years total in the Army.
I was on 546, 554/5224 (MFFJM), 5230, and finished as the Battalion Operations Warrant. I was in both invasions and had numerous crises and combat deployments before them. After the invasions, my entire life revolved around nearly 20 years non-stop combat deployments with my last trip in 2017. Thank the Lord for bringing ALL my people home safely.

I was medically retired (100% disabled) at Fort Campbell after breaking my neck and back on a HALO jump and stayed in the area for the healthcare.
De Oppresso Liber!!!

I am NOT new to reloading but have decided to get more serious (and accurate) with it. I've been reading this site for about six months researching .300 Weatherby Magnum loads before joining.

Additionally I recently bought a Ruger Hawkeye Long Range Target Rifle in 6.5 PRC with the 26" barrel and a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-7C MRAD FFP Riflescope.
I just wish I had known about the reloading supplies and ammunition shortages earlier.

One thing for sure about this site you can go down the rabbit hole of reloading and accuracy improvements as far as you wish to take it.
My thoughts exactly. LRH is a great resource with some of the best & most knowledgeable members of this subject matter. Good folks. Precision shooting & handloading can definitely be a rabbit hole with no end. Who ever he is, the most knowledgeable long range shooter & handloader on planet Earth could take it at least 10 times farther than he already has if he wanted to.

Thanks! I'm looking forward to it!

Welcome, and thank you for your service! In my opinion, this is the best site there is to learn from. Great folks here. Not everyone does everything exactly the same and there's different schools of thought but I do believe those schools of thought are more and more starting to converg. You will figure out what works for you. 6.5 prc is a good round to learn hand loading with. Don't be reluctant to ask anything. I assure you it has been asked before. Glad to have you here!

I appreciate that! I've been making my own 300 AAC blackouts and .270s for years but just as deer hunting loads for TN. Most shots are under 200yds. But I was selected for a combat vet hunt in Idaho and the ranges they said were typical were 600-1000yds and I haven't shot that far since I was still Active. I bought some .300 Weatherby Magnum rounds and was NOT happy with how it grouped. I talked to momma and she gave me permission to research and buy a modern rifle. I have ZERO rounds thru it since ammo is impossible to find. I was able to buy the components to start making my own though.

Welcome to the forum!! Yeah, the component situation is tough right now. You might try finding a company that will put you on a wait list.
Bwahahhahaha YUUUUUP!!!
I'm on every wait list from Seattle to the Everglades!!!!
MidSouth is a 15min drive and I call them daily. They answer the phone "Hello Darren..."
