Colorado red flag law passes

Also, Colorado has only had what two mass shootings almost twenty years apart? And does Colorado really have that high of a murder rate to justify such draconian gun laws to begin with?

Aurora Theater shooting and Columbine were not the only two mass shootings in Colorado if we go by the definition of four or more people killed. We had the Arorua Chuck E. Cheese in 93 with the shooter killing 4 employees, and the YWAM/New Life mass shooting in 07 where the shooter killed two in Arvada and two in Colorado Springs before being stopped by armed security. Then we've had shootings such as the Planned Parenthood shootings that put us on the national map as well even though it didnt qualify as a "mass shooting".

Murder is on the rise in Colorado as well along with all crime. We've seen a population boom mostly due to weed here and all the problems that come with it. We opened a literal Pandoras box, and now we have to figure out how to deal with the consequences.

Coloradans have been steadily progressing towards the left, there has only been one Republican Governor since 1975. Our only saving grace has been the House and Senate haven't always been under one party. That changed with this last election and a one party system is reaping the rewards.

I completely agree. but why single out CO or these other places? Our country is being run by 2 parties which are both full of lost liars and refuse to work together on anything. We can apply that to the issue of gun control or anything else.
They are all liars, that's why they are politicians. But don't say they refuse to work together, they only do that crap in the public eye for the dog & pony show... Don't count-out what they do behind closed doors. I'm sure they're all hanging out at the same parties and scratching each other's backs.

You can only appeal to a greater good, when you have a great nation filled with great culture. That doesn't apply here currently, that's why it seems like communist, socialist and I'll add, greed filled capitalism, to you. It's all me and my money right now. Your post seems to infer that our shared gun responsibility is "parenting." Is that what you'd call pulling aside a good friend, when things are bad at home and maybe asking that the guns be secured for just a bit? Is that parenting or being a good friend? Same with the retarded kid. So easy to side step anything that seems like a responsibility.
You are right and I agree, almost all mass murders are white or muslim males. The DC killer was one exception and his army training sure came into play.
You're obviously not American (pro-American) or a conservative, or able to grasp the concepts of what it means to have individual rights that are adamantly penned in ink to ensure that they are NEVER infringed upon. So this conversation is over. All of your posts are now making me wonder if you're just a troll who doesn't even own any guns.

As far as I'm concerned you are really treading in MYOB areas!
And I would tell anyone that, don't question what goes on in my house!
You worry about yours! If everyone spent their time putting their house in order
they wouldn't have time to fool with mine! My doctor sent me to see a specialist
and that nurse asked if I had any guns in my house? SO I asked her did you poop today? Ended that!
EXACTLY!!! We live in a world where everyone has learned to voluntarily give up any and all information to the entire world at the drop of a post on social media... What would make you think that they wouldn't want to know all of YOUR business, too!?!?!? Social media is the devil. And it's destroying our culture and our country. If people learned to talk, and handle their own GD business, the world wouldn't be half as messed up as it is now.

These days, nobody seems to understand or respect the old saying, "I mind my own **** business, so you mind your's."

13% of the US population (blacks) commit 53% of all violent crimes in America... This includes murder, rape, armed robbery, assault, battery, etc... So, tell me again how whites are the problem... Don't worry, I'll wait why you try to figure that out.

I just returned from the dentist for the first time since I retired. The lady dentist that took over the practice was shot dead by her husband in a murder suicide. Due to the clear statistics of this crime in our country, straight up, I fully support this law. No fear or hypothetical situation can change my mind and I'll never support a rotten human's right to own a gun. That is just my opinion. I'm not hurt if anybody else disagrees and so sorry if somebody is hurt by my opinion.
I'm out and back to developing an elk load.

My oldest daughter was the head teller in a bank. There was a robbery. Inside job I figure because they knew she had access to the money. The robber grabbed her by the hair and stuck a gun in her face. She was so terrified it was a couple of years before she could hold a gun again. Eventually I got her over it and shooting again. She took some classes and practices often. She will never be a victim again. The point of all of this is, there are bad people in this world. There always have been and there always will be. No Government can legislate morality. They can take away every gun in this country and not one citizen will be any safer. Quite the opposite, they will become sheep ripe for slaughter. It is foolish to think otherwise. This is a bad law, plain and simple. Look at the precedent. The very idea of taking away property just because someone says you might be dangerous, and without being found guilty of a crime, goes against the very fabric of our justice system. They will find out this law has no effect on crime. These same folks will then want knives, baseball bats, bricks, and still no effect other than to make the people even more dependent on government to fix the problems government created. This is actually happening right now in England. Read the news. I fear no man. The more good people out there that carry every day the better. That is the only thing the bad guys fear. Problem is so do the Socialists residing in our Government. They stop at nothing to appeal to your emotions and make you believe they are truly acting in your best interests when all the while they are only interested in their own interests, self preservation and power. Only a fool would believe otherwise. Open your eyes, check your emotions at the door and see this for what it really is. Simply a Socialist power grab that will get innocent people killed.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Benjamin Franklin

Says it all right there.
