Colorado gmu 61 in December?

My wife has a cow tag for the new December season in unit 61, I have never hunted in the unit so looking for some suggestions on were to go in December any info greatly appreciated

That tag is new this year, so unless you find someone that lives in unit 61 you will probably be on your own for the most part.

There are plenty of elk in 61, especially cows. There wasn't many tags given for the season if i remember right, so you probably won't bump into many hunters. If you do a little walking and tracking in the snow you shouldn't have any issues. That whole unit is prime country so just pick a spot and go.
