I just bought a bunch of bullets from someone who was cleaning up his loading
bench. It included a couple of boxes of "coated" bullets. Some Nosler Combined
Tech and some Barnes XLC's. After reading up , on line , I dont think that I want
to load them up and shoot them with the coating on and have decided to tumble
them to clean them off. As I understand, a few hours in the tumbler should do the
trick. Does that sound about right? Does anyone think that I should change out the
media after that? Dont know if getting any of that coating on my cases would be
detrimental or not.

cheers

If only, I would not use my main tumbler. Throw away the media after and clean the bowl.

If hBN, shoot'em.
