Chris Kyle Shot

Saw this on the news and I was heartbroken. I read his book not 2 months ago and after you read it, you can really get a sense of his life and the struggles of the military. He is a true hero and someone I looked up too. This country has gone to ****. The fact that one of our own citizens would murder one of our greatest heroes is a sign that there is little unity left in this country. Whats worse is if you watch some of the youtube videos about his death or his life for that matter, please read the comments.

You will see things like, "Glad he's dead. A murderer like that deserves to be shot" or "Bout time that baby killing bastard got what was coming to him".. and much worse. Whether or not you agree/disagree with our governments decisions, I believe we should always support those fighting to keep our freedom in tact. Whether that means they are overseas or still inside the borders. These men signed up to protect our country and not knowing what they would have to do in order to accomplish their missions. He will always go down as one of our greatest heroes, as will the rest of those men out there fighting as we speak. I can only hope and pray that those people who think they know what these men and women go through every day and still condemn their actions as if they have any right to judge, will realize one day what it feels like to serve. I can only imagine what its like, for I am not a veteren, but I will always support those heroes out there like Chris Kyle who put their life on the line everyday for the ungrateful scum that calls themselves americans. Chris was lucky enough to have lived through the horror of war and save many lives in the process...only to be gunned down by a psychopath on american soil. It is truly a shame when one can fight for so long in an unknown battlefield and acheive so much...only to return to the homeland they were willing to die for and be murdered by those they were defending. I am so disappointed in this country. So disappointed in Americans.

Sickening. Mental health is huge issue anymore. People need to stock in their life and be accountable. There is no excuse for this sort of violence and behavior.

+1 ishootkittens I think you hit it on the head. There is no excuse for this kinda BS. A man going out of his way to help and this is what he gets in return. A real true blue American Hero.

I agree completely! It's a **** shame how people treat our Vets and American heros these days. He should be treated as the hero he was. And in my mind, he will always be a hero for what he has done for this country.

Chris, your life was not in vain, no matter what those un-American bastards have to say (Jane Fonda, and those like her). You did your duty. You saved ALOT of lives. You are a true hero no matter what.

May you RIP Chris... My prayers go out to your family, friends, and your fellow soldiers.

At least it isn't as bad as the vets were treated from Vietnam. Still a shame though. Posses me off when a fellow soldier falls. I was one once, and my heart goes out to all vets.

I couldn't believe it when I heard the news. How could someone stab him in the back like that? It really ****es me off. I also looked up to him, as many people should have and still should. I don't understand why someone would do that to one of our own, especially an American hero like Chris Kyle. It infuriates me! He was an amazing man to say the least...

It hurt my heart when I heard about Chris' death. Very sad day but equally sad; what we have let our country become. Sometimes I feel like there's nothing left to be proud of. JohnnyK.

If we all cant stand together during a time of war...when can we stand together? If we cant be proud of our freedom and the people who fight for it..what can we be proud of? Please..I encourage you all to go on youtube and look at some of these comments. It will make you sick to your stomach because of the vile things that are being said about Chris and his fellow soldiers. I pray that his children grow up knowing their father was a hero...and not a villain. I pray that this country will realize that freedom isnt free...and finally..I pray that God will forgive those who wish harm/illness/sadness/death on our heroes...because I wont.

Please, the next time you see a gentleman or lady in a uniform...thank them. Tomorrow may be to late.

ISK, I don't want to see the comments. I know how these progressive liberals are, and it makes me sick to my stomach. They're just as bad as the Westboro Baptist Church people...And those people make me want to go postal on them.

People need to learn what a hero really is. An NFL player is NOT a hero. A pro baseball player is not a hero. An actor is not a hero. Real heros are people who accomplished REAL things and did so in the face of danger, despite knowing the potential consequences. THAT is a true hero. Just like all of our soldiers and vets are. And Chris Kyle was one of my personal heros. Any sniper is. It's what I wanted to be from an early age. I never was able to make that dream come true, so to me, anyone who can and does, is one of my heros.

It still infuriates me knowing that scumbag did it for a truck. Like was said, Chris probably would have handed him the keys if he had known that was all he wanted.

So, to all our Vets, both former and current....Thank you for your service.
