It happens anywhere there are an overabundance of whitetails, the odds run like 1/60,000 deer carry the gene that cause missing skin pigments of its offspring, but both parents must posess the gene before the offspring can be a piebald, so heard density has to be high enough that those 2 deer out of 120,000 can hook-up!
happens more in the east cause there is more deer here, I've taken 3, one just had white socks though.
