I had Carbon Six chamber and rebarrel my Tikka.
Stock trigger tuned to 1lb 14oz and a butchered plastic stock, until Mesa gets their Tikka inlet done!
Anyway, add an Insite Arms Heathen brake in 30cal and you get these pics.
Shots 11-13 and 14-16. That's all factory ELDM ammunition.

I thrive on the nonsense!

I love tikkas! I swear they outshoot my custom guns!

That's awesome! What's the weight in that thing? Chopped handguard looks awesome and the camp job is cool. Great looking rifle all around.
As it sits, I'd say around 7, but I'm sure I'm wrong. Hoping Mesa gets their tikka inlet handled soon. That will be when it gets weighed. Right now, it's lighter than my 6.5C Xbolt western hunter with a vx6 3-18x50. The recoil is less than when it was a 308.

I'm glad someone had a good experience with Carbon6! I wasn't so lucky. Maybe they are figuring things out now

Nice looking rig.

Just an FYI on stocks, wildcat composites is currently working on a mold for their Tikka stock that will accept larger CF type barrels.

I spoke with Carbon 6 about doing a 7mm SAW for one of my Tikkas. Would make a good lightweight hunting rifle. I don't have a magnum boltface or I would consider a PRC.
